The CCA Louisiana/Mercury Outboards STAR Tournament lasts from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is one of the the longest saltwater fishing tournaments in the country. Started in 1995 as a membership generator, STAR heads into its 17th year offering over $500,000 in prizes.

There are more than 25 weigh stations throughout the Louisiana Gulf Coast.

Among these are: Cajun Fast Mart, Sulphur; Calcasieu Point Landing, Lake Charles; West Marine, Lake Charles; Cocahoe's at Hebert's Marina, Big Lake; Pecan Island Food Store, Pecan Island; Maxie Pierce's Grocery, Intracoastal City; Don’s Boat Landing, Erath; Dago’s, Lydia; Ivy’s Tackle Box, Morgan City; Four Point Landing, Dulac; Eschete’s, Houma; Tradewinds Marina, Cocodrie; Gail’s Bait Shop, Leeville; Moran’s Marina, Fourchon; Bridgeside Marina, Grand Isle; Sand Dollar Marina, Grand Isle; Joe’s Landing, Barataria; Myrtle Grove Marina, Myrtle Grove; Delta Marina, Empire; Venice Marina, Venice; Cypress Cove Marina, Venice; Breton Sound Marina, Hopedale; Seabrook Harbor, New Orleans; Shubert's Marine, New Orleans; Puglia’s Sporting Goods, Metairie; Chag’s Fishing and Marine Supply, Metairie; Roussell’s, La Place; Rusty's, Mandeville; Dockside Bait & Tackle, Slidell and Rigolet’s Bait and Seafood, Slidell. Weigh stations are available only during normal hours of operation.
