With well over a month left in STAR, one division has been decided with the official closing of the season. Hunter Joffrion, of Baton Rouge, has won the Red Snapper Division of STAR, netting him a $2,500 Offshore Tackle Package.

The Red Snapper Division, sponsored by Whitney Bank, drew to a close at 11:59 p.m. on July 16^th, marking the end of the two-month long red snapper season.

The 29-year-old Joffrion caught his 27.29lb Red Snapper aboard a 36’ Contender at with trip 275hp Mercury Veradoes at the South Pass Apache Oil Rig. He weighed his prize-winning fish at Venice Marina.

There are still over 30 prizes left available in the other divisions of STAR. STAR ends at 5p.m. on September 3^rd.
